Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2026
Overview
RATHER ("we", "our", "the Service") is a free "Would You Rather" voting platform where users answer daily questions and view global results. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the data we collect.
Data We Collect
Voting data: When you cast a vote, we store your selected choice (A or B) and a two-letter country code derived from your IP address. We do not store your IP address itself.
Country detection: We use Cloudflare to determine your approximate country from your IP address. Only the country code (e.g., "US", "KR") is saved — no precise location data is collected.
No personal information: We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifiable information. No account or registration is required.
Cookies & Tracking
Our Service itself does not use cookies for tracking purposes. However, the following third-party services may set cookies:
Cloudflare: May set technical cookies for security and performance purposes.
Google AdSense: We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this or other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
How We Use Your Data
The voting data we collect is used solely to display aggregated statistics — such as overall vote percentages and country-by-country breakdowns. We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any third parties beyond what is described in this policy.
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
Cloudflare — CDN, security, and country-level IP detection
Google AdSense — Advertising
Vercel — Website hosting
Supabase — Database storage
Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
Children's Privacy
Our Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights. Since we do not collect personally identifiable information, most of our data cannot be traced back to individual users. If you have concerns about your data, please contact us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
